Spring Spur Stay
Your Country home in the Victorian High Country
Wake Up in the High Country
Spring Spur Stay is our hosted accommodation tucked into the foothills of the Victorian High Country — a place where good horses, good food, and good company come together beneath the mountains. More than a place to sleep, it’s a lived-in family homestead where guests are welcomed like old friends, invited to slow down, breathe deep, and settle into the rhythm of country life.
Your hosts are on hand with local stories, trail knowledge, and genuine hospitality. Mornings roll in easy with wholesome breakfasts, the smell of coffee, and horses moving in the yards. Evenings are for shared meals, a glass of wine, and swapping tales around the table while the sun sets over the horse paddocks.
Each room is comfortable, considered, and connected to the land around it — the farm, the stables, and the surrounding mountains. Wander the gardens, meet the horses, or simply sit on the verandah and breath in the country air.
Whether you’re here for a riding adventure, a quiet country escape, or to experience life on a working horse farm, Spring Spur Stay gives you space to unwind, reconnect, and feel at home. It’s the kind of place people return to — not just for the beds, but for the atmosphere, the welcome, and the way the mountains make everything feel possible.
Spring Spur Stay & Riders Lounge
Our guest rooms are purpose-built for a unique hosted farm stay experience. Designed with passive solar principles, mountain views, and comfortable private spaces, Spring Spur Stay is part of a small village of homestead buildings, stables and Steve’s artist studio. A few steps away, the Riders Lounge offers great food, local wine, and long-table hospitality at the heart of the property.
